Wenger Bemoans Penalty

Wenger was unhappy that referee Andre Marriner awarded Liverpool's penalty three minutes after that the eight minutes of stoppage time that has been signalled at the end of the 90 minutes.

"But you have to take it and you continue to fight. Extra time was eight minutes.
On the penalty, Wenger added: "Lucas played in an intelligent way. He stopped his run and the referee saw penalty, but what can you do about it?"
Wenger bemoaned his side's luck as they dropped more crucial points at home for a third successive game.
"We have been badly done in the two games here," added Wenger. "Against Sunderland we scored a regular goal and were not given a penalty that was 100%, then today we got caught back like that.
"It is a period where we have not the biggest luck, that's for sure.
"The players are very disappointed. Who wouldn't be?

Wenger is refusing to concede defeat in the title race despite only six games being left in the campaign."It is about us winning our games. The hope is always there but, to keep the hope alive, it is up to us to win our games and to win our next game," noted Wenger.
