Wenger - Consistency is key

Wenger - Consistency is key

The Gunners missed a crucial chance to maintain the pressure on leaders Manchester United on Saturday, drawing with West Brom at The Hawthorns while the Red Devils claimed a late win at home to Bolton.
Despite producing a stirring comeback against the Midlanders, the Gunners now sit five points adrift of United in the table with nine games left to play.
And Wenger, who was appointed as Arsenal boss back in 1996, believes anything could happen in the run-in.
"That is the Premier League this season," said Wenger.
"Manchester United have won in the last two minutes, Tottenham drew 0-0 at home with West Ham.

Unpredictable

"It is certainly the most level league, with the least predictable results, since I have been in England.
"When anybody plays against anybody, you cannot predict the result.
"Individual games are unpredictable, so (the run-in) will be down to consistency and character."
One fixture from Arsenal's remaining nine that looks set to be vital is the clash with United at Emirates Stadium on May 1st.
Asked about the possibility of beating Sir Alex Ferguson's side, Wenger said with a smile: "We will."
